The fellowship of the ring

The Fellowship of the Ring was formed as a brotherhood among members of the various Free Peoples of Middle-earth. Its purpose was to take the One Ring to Mordor that it might be cast into the fires of Mount Doom, the mountain in which it was forged, so that it would be destroyed and ultimately kill the Dark Lord Sauron.

The Fellowship was also known as the Company of the Ring, the Nine Walkers, or more simply the Company. Each of the members of the Company were representatives of their respective races, with Legolas and Gimli being the only Elf and Dwarf chosen.

Eventually total 9 people were chosen to take the ring to Mordor and destroy it.

Why 9? The number nine was chosen because dark lord Sauron had nine deadly servants who was bound to his will through the nine rings that was gifted to nine lords of men.

So it is kind of an offset or complimentary number.

In science fiction and fantasy genre the epic fantasy series "Lord of the Rings" is the highest standard.

For many years it has been my top of the list gift item. Whenever I wanted to give some one any gift, this became the default choice.

It is elegant in writing, fascinating narration and full of extraordinary characters. Classic world building with in depth root.

I am not talking about the movie, I am talking about the book. Reading the book is a whole different and fascinating experience.

Though the movie is great in making and all aspects, it can never replace the natural flow and charisma of the books.

The first book, The fellowship of the ring, began with the strange ring and the journey of the four hobbits chased by the Nazguls.

For the topic reading habit, a lot can be said. There is several area of generalization when it comes to making a habit of reading.
Reading anything and everything is an obsession. But reading on your favorite topic is a privilege providing you have enough time.

But more often than not we are required to read for business or profession related task which can often mar and consume the passion for reading for pleasure.

Most of the casual reader likes to read fiction. There is several categories of fictions as well.
It is also known as genre. The most popular among them are thriller, sci/fi fantasy,romance etc.

I myself is more into sci/fi fantasy genre.

So in my blog there will be plenty of talk about science fiction and fantasy based stories.

First of all I would like to start with the famous and my personal favorite "Lord of the Rings" series.
